Let’s Understand the working of the Water Filter Pump:

Firstly let’s understand why Booster Pump is needed in RO, the simple answer is to increase the speed of the water.

As you all know the main part of RO is Membrane and the membrane is consist of a rounded sheet with the size of 0.005 microns at normal speed, it is impossible for water to pass through the membrane and here booster pump came to work which pushes the water with pressure from the membrane and the water which is light is passes and the water which is hard is going to be rejected.

Working of this motor:

Booster pump works by a rotating motor moving a diaphragm to create piston action sucking in water through the inlet and in turn forcing the water out through the outlet port when the diaphragm moves in the other direction. Booster pump should be plumbed in with a low-pressure sensor (which is also known as Solenoid Valve) to prevent dry running.
